Work Visas: Procedure and Documents

Each country has its own requirements for obtaining a work visa, and this process may vary depending on the legislation, type of job, and employer’s requests.

Important: Visa application rules are regularly updated. To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the official embassy or consulate of the country you plan to travel to.

Visas by Country

Qatar, UAE, Oman

For these countries, the entire work visa application process is handled by the employer. The candidate is not required to collect documents for the visa.

What is required from the candidate:

  • A passport valid for at least 1 year
  • Passing a basic medical examination before departure to confirm health status

What the medical examination includes:

  • Tests for HIV, AIDS, syphilis
  • Hepatitis test
  • Chest X-ray (fluorography)

The medical examination can be conducted at any private or public clinic. This is a mandatory requirement — if infectious diseases are detected after arrival, the candidate may be deported and receive a temporary entry ban to the country, even if they recover later.

Once the employer processes the visa, we will send it to the candidate in PDF format, coordinate the departure date, and you will be able to fly to the workplace.

The visa for Saudi Arabia is processed through the Saudi Arabian embassy in the candidate’s country of citizenship. This is a mandatory requirement: the candidate must be in their home country to complete the application process.

Application specifics:

The embassy works exclusively through an authorized agency that:

  • Verifies your documents,
  • Provides a list of required medical tests and certificates,
  • Directs you to medical institutions where examinations can be conducted.

Standard document package includes:

  • Medical examination (more comprehensive than in other countries)
  • Examination at a tuberculosis dispensary and drug addiction clinic
  • Certificate of no criminal record
  • Translation and legalization of all certificates
  • Other documents — depending on the requirements of your country and the agency (may include certificates, work records, etc.)

Documents from the employer are provided separately, and the entire package is submitted to the Saudi Arabian embassy.

Processing time: 4 to 6 weeks
Cost: $400 to $600, depending on the country of application
Reimbursement: Expenses are reimbursed by the employer upon arrival at the workplace

Despite the more complex visa process, working in Saudi Arabia offers high salaries and stable conditions, making it an attractive destination for experienced professionals.

Obtaining a work visa for Kuwait is processed through the Kuwaiti embassy in the candidate’s country of citizenship.

Application specifics:

  • The application process is simpler than in Saudi Arabia
  • The embassy issues a referral for a medical examination, which includes basic tests
  • A certificate of no criminal record is required, with subsequent translation and legalization
  • All documents are submitted to the embassy along with the employer’s invitation letter

Additional requirements:

  • The candidate must have a passport valid for at least one year
  • After submission, the candidate only needs to wait for the visa to be processed

Processing time: Approximately 3 weeks on average
Cost: $200 to $300, depending on the country
Compensation: Reimbursement of visa costs is not guaranteed and depends on the specific job conditions, to be discussed individually

This visa process is simpler and faster than in some other countries in the region but requires a responsible approach and compliance with all formalities.

A work visa for Bahrain is processed through the Bahraini embassy in the candidate’s country of citizenship.

Process specifics:

  • After submitting documents, the candidate receives a referral from the embassy to specific medical institutions for a comprehensive medical examination
  • The medical examination includes a full set of tests, covering infectious diseases and overall health status
  • A certificate of no criminal record is required, with translation and legalization
  • Once all documents are collected, the package is submitted to the embassy for visa processing

Processing time by the employer: 26 days to 1 month
Cost of medical examination: $100 to $200, depending on the country
Compensation: In most cases, employers in Bahrain do not reimburse medical examination costs, but conditions may vary depending on the vacancy

Each country has its own rules and requirements for obtaining a work visa. We focus exclusively on legal employment, so the process is conducted strictly through official channels.

Application specifics:

  • A work visa is not a tourist visa, so its issuance requires coordination with the employer, preparation of a document package, verification of qualifications, and other procedures
  • Each country sets its own requirements, which depend on the candidate’s citizenship, level of qualifications, and field of work
  • Before applying, we always verify the latest information with the embassy of the destination country
  • Be prepared that obtaining a work visa is a lengthy and costly process, which may take several weeks or even months

We work only with transparent and legal processes and do not submit visa applications without prior assurance of compliance with all requirements.
